Apple Visits BMF Material

From February 28 to March 1, 2017, UV.EB WEST 2017 was held in San Francisco, the United States.

 

On the exhibition, BMF Material launched the world’s first large-area micro/nano 3D printing system nanoArch™ to the North American market. The system soon caught the attention of Apple Inc., and both sides agreed to have further exchange of ideas in BMF Material’s office in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China.

 

On March 9, Apple’s technical leaders visited BMF Material in Shenzhen, and had in-depth communication with BMF regarding micro/nano surface processing of precision electronic components, and the new micro/nano fabrication technology. BMF Material introduced to Apple in details the micro/nano-scale 3D printing technology. The technology has prominent advantages of low processing cost and high throughput, and industrially is one of the most promising micro/nano manufacturing technologies, with huge application prospect in mobile phone cameras, precision connectors, surface processing, 3D packaging, etc.

 

After the meeting, the Apple team visited BMF’s equipment R&D center and left a sample, which would be printed by BMF Material to see what was next in the cooperation.
